Nate encouraged us to list 7 things the reader may not know about us.
1. I cook. I love to cook. I was taught by my Aunts who are goooood southern cooks. Most everything I make is completely home made and I rarely use a recipe. Unfortunately, all this cookin' has left a few pounds hanging on that I would prefer weren't!
2. My husband and I met and were married within 11 months. Statistically we shouldn't have made it, but 17 years later it is better than ever! Even more startling is that neither of us knew the Lord when we met. But He had a plan!
3. I do not typically like sports. Which is odd because my entire family are sport nuts. But the one sport I love to watch is BOXING. But the hits football players take make me cringe. Go figure.
4. One of my favorite carb craving indulgences is spaghetti with....are you ready for this.......soy sauce on it.
5. If I had my druthers, I would live in the 1800's.
6. I secretly wish I had an Irish accent to go with my Irish heritage.
7. Nicole C Mullen AND Sandi Patti sang Happy Birthday to me on my 40th birthday. Sandi sang to me after visiting my hotel room and having a glass of wine to celebrate. Nicole sang to me while on stage during a sound check. One of the best birthday's EVER!

Great blog and I love your profile picture!
Lee,
Thank you for your response to my post on Andy's website about devotions. I am the one that lead my husband to the Lord, and it has been a struggle to try and get him to do devotions with me. Our little one is only 1, but she has her own little Bible book that I read to her. I would love nothing more than for our family to do devotions and pray together, especially when our kids are a little older. But, it is something I want to do to share with just my husband, also. I greatly appreciate and covet your prayers about this situation. I love my husband to death, but this is a definite issue, and is a hard one because we grew up in such different families. With my father being a pastor, I was in church every Sunday, we did devotions together, and my family prayed together. My husband is not used to that at all, and it's an adjustment I think he is a little scared to become accustomed to. Thank you once again! I'd love to hear from you again. My email address is baby2doll29@yahoo.com!
In His Grip,
Brianne
I love that neither of you were Christians when you met and now you both ARE! Excited to follow along on your adoption journey!
Just found your blog, as I am an adoptive parent and did a mission trip to West Africa last fall, I look forward to following your progress!
Oh how fun! I too wish I had a cool accent, and I love to cook! We should get along just fine! :)
Did I just see that Nicole C Mullen sang to you? Hate me-- didn't even read your post because I wanted to answer a little of your question--I LOVE NCM!! REdeemer--my FAV song!
See if you can find a post of mine called pretty cheap space fillers--I think you might be able to search for it on my blog or google it with the words nesting place. It was winter or early spring.
We moved from a condo to a 3000+ square foot empty house and I used 3 or 4 decorators tables to fill up space!
